Big news for Lady Rams Basketball — Paragould has officially named Mitchell Weber as the new head coach for the program.

Weber comes to Paragould after leading the Brookland Lady Bearcats to three strong seasons, including an undefeated 16-0 conference run in 2023-2024 and a school record, 30 win season. Under his leadership, Brookland made three straight appearances in the 4A State Tournament.

Prior to his time at Brookland, Weber spent five seasons at Rector, where he guided the Lady Cougars to a 24-9 record and a No. 6 ranking in Class 2A during the 2021-2022 season, as reported by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. Rector appeared in back-to-back 2A State Tournaments in 2021 and 2022.

With a proven track record of building winning programs and a passion for developing student-athletes both on and off the court, Coach Weber brings a high standard of excellence to Paragould. His commitment to growing the Lady Rams program is matched by his vision to foster a strong, positive team culture that reflects the values of Paragould High School.

“Coach Weber has demonstrated success at every program he’s led,” said Mike Chipman, Athletic Director. “We’re confident in his ability to elevate Lady Rams Basketball and continue building a program our school and community can be proud of.”

He brings with him a winning pedigree and a reputation for cultivating success through hard work, accountability, and mentorship. The future is bright for Lady Rams Basketball under Coach Weber’s leadership.
